A Yin/Yang Yoga and Mindfulness Workshop with Interpersonal Awareness Practices
In this 2-day workshop (2 sessions à 4 hours) Sarah Powers, founder & author of Insight Yoga, will encourage us to develop and/or deepen the commitment to a balanced daily practice that nourishes not only our body and breath, but our hearts and minds as well.
The first hour of each session Sarah will focus on salient features of Buddhist Mindfulness meditation with both lecture and practice. The meditation practice will be followed by various Yin/Yang asana sequences that encourage stability and mobility, grounded-ness and ease, enabling us to merge what Taoists call heaven and earth within our own bodies and minds. The last section will be given to heart based practices mingled with interpersonal dialogues.
Open to all levels of practice.
Sarah Powers has been teaching yoga since 1987. She makes her home in Marin, California, but travels internationally offering retreats and workshops in her intelligent and compassionate blend of yin and a flow style of yoga, transpersonal psychology and Buddhist Mindfulness. Her training and influences include Dzogchen Buddhism, Vipassana, Ashtanga, Viniyoga and Iyengar teachings.
